Why are we so drawn to the idea that there is something beyond what we can see, touch, and explain?
From ghosts and spirits to psychics and mediums, humans have always been fascinated by the possibility of a world beyond the physical. But what does that fascination tell us about us?
In this spooky-season workshop, we’ll explore the psychological and emotional reasons we’re drawn to the supernatural AND why the possibility of something bigger than ourselves can actually bring comfort, meaning & hope.
We’ll explore:
💜 Why the idea of something bigger than ourselves can help us feel connected and hopeful
🔮 Why we’re so fascinated by the possibility of connecting with the spiritual realm
😇 Why we can fall into an all-or-nothing view of supernatural experiences
🌙 Our very human desire to believe that someone, somewhere, has all the answers
🌀 What happens when we make room for nuance & uncertainty
💭 How we can stay curious about the supernatural while also reflecting on what we may be hoping to find in it
This isn't about proving or disproving the supernatural. This workshop takes a psychological lens to our fascination with the supernatural. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Laura will explore why humans are drawn to supernatural beliefs, what psychological and emotional needs those beliefs can meet, and why the possibility of something beyond ourselves can feel so comforting.

Laura has been studying Astrology since 2016 and is also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). Her workshops blend clinical insight with intuitive guidance.
